Report User Guide Problems and Errors

The |Send Email| button is used to send email to a selected contact or group of contacts in the current search result.  To send email, do the following:

1. Search for and select some contacts within the current search result.
   
   
    
2. From the Personal Dashboard Button bar, click the |Send Emails| button. From the send emails screen (shown below), select which contacts to send emails to.  You can send an email to no contact, the selected contact (highlighted in the search result screen), all checked contacts, or the entire search result.  In addition, you can choose which field to insert the email addresses i.e. CC (Carbon Copy), or BCC (Blind Carbon Copy).  To create a log item for the email(s) enter some text into the contact log field, doing so will create a log item for each email sent to your default email client. 
   
   
   
   
   
    

Although not a function of the Accelerator application, you can set your default email client within the Windows XP control panel using the |Internet Options| icon.  Once opened, select the |Programs| tab and email drop down list where you may specify which email client Windows should use by default.  Click the |OK| to save your changes.

If you are using Windows Vista, the default email client can be modified via the control panel by selecting the Default Programs icon and selecting which email application to set as default.
