New Action (All Day Event)

The |New Action| button can be used to create a new task, appointment, or all day event for specific contacts within the current search result or the entire search result. 

Creating an All Day Event

To create an |All Day Event|, do the following:

  1. Search for a contact or list of contacts within the Accelerator application. 


     
  2. From the Personal Dashboard Button Bar select the |New Action| button. You may select to associate this all day event with a contact or group of contacts, however, the all day event does not have to be associated with a specific contact. In this example we will not associate an all day event with a contact.  Check the |Do not associate with a contact|| option and click the |All Day Event| button.


     
  3. Enter the all day event information into the dialogue box (shown above) and click the |Save| button to save your settings. 

     


The |Is Private| option is used to override Accelerator users who have been given rights to view all Actions data.  By default, your Actions data is accessible only by you and your proxies.
 

  1. To view your All Day Event, click the |Actions Tab| located in the Personal Dashboard, here you can view or edit the actions for your contact. You can also view the actions of your proxies (people you share contact data with) by clicking on any user that appears under |Other User Action Items| section. You may also view the newly created action by opening the Accelerator calendar and navigating to the appropriate day and time.
