Report User Guide Problems and Errors

The |Merge Duplicate Contacts| option is used merge Two contacts within the current search result.  To find duplicate contacts, use the |Find Duplicate Contacts| option located within the |Tools| menu.  To use this option, do the following:

1. Run the |Find Duplicate Contacts| option to locate duplicates within the Accelerator database.
    
2. Once the duplicates are found, place a check in the box to the left of Two Contacts you would like to merge.
   
   
   Currently Accelerator will only merge two contacts at a time. 
    

3. From the |Tools| menu, select |Tools|Merge Duplicate Contacts|.  The following screen will appear:

4. Select which contact you would like to keep.  All data from the contact not selected is merged to the contact that you selected to keep. 
   
   
   In step 4 above, the unselected contact is permanently deleted.
