Accelerator Inbox

The Accelerator Inbox is used to receive and reply to messages from other Office Accelerator users on the network.  Messages sent can be linked to contacts and upon receipt of an inbox message, the linked contact can be easily found by clicking the |Find Contact Button|.   


The Accelerator Inbox icon displays a red flag when new messages have arrived.

Sending an Accelerator Inbox Message

  1. To send an Accelerator Inbox message to an Accelerator user, click the Send Inbox Message Icon .  The following screen will appear:


  1. Highlight a user, or select a group to send your message to.  To select more then one user, click the |Allow Multiple Names to be Selected| option.

Receiving an Accelerator Inbox Message

  1. Accelerator Inbox messages sent to you by other Accelerator users appear in the bottom right hand corner of your screen.  Accelerator Inbox messages display the following information:

  1. You can use the |Snooze| button to turn off the message for the default time of 15 minutes, the |Ignore| button to close the message and review it at a later time, or the |View Now| button to open the Accelerator Inbox where you can view new and saved messages (Shown Below).

Functions of the Accelerator Inbox:

  • Messages For:  Displays messages of users proxy to you.  You can select other users via the drop down menu located under the 'Message for' section.
     
  • Edit Contact: Selecting this button will open the contact associated with the highlighted message.  
     
  • Review Contact: Selecting this button will open the contact review screen for the contact associated with the highlighted message. 
     
  • Find Contact: Selecting this button will search the Accelerator database for the contact associated with the highlighted message. 

  • Message Status:
     
  • New:  Sets message status as 'New'.
     
  • In-Progress: Sets message status as 'In-Progress'.
     
  • Done: Sets message status as 'complete'.
  • Archive: Sets message with an archive attribute.  When the archive attribute is set on a message, the message will no longer be visible in the Accelerator inbox.  To view archived messages, click the 'Show Archive' box.  
     
  • Alert Pending:  Sets message with an Alert Pending attribute.  Message will re-display on 15 minute intervals, or upon phone book startup.   
     
  • Automatically Delete: Selecting this option will clear the Accelerator Inbox messages each time the Accelerator Inbox is closed. 
     
  • Delete Message: Selecting this button will delete the highlighted message within the Accelerator Inbox.  This function does not delete the contact within Accelerator. 
     
  • Delete All:  Selecting this button will clear all of the messages within the Accelerator Inbox.  This function does not delete contact data from the Accelerator database.
     
  • Reply/Forward: Selecting either of these options will allow you to reply to the sender, a different user, or a group of users.  Using the reply option automatically sets the reply to the original sender.
     
  • Close: Exits the Accelerator Inbox.
     
  • Print: Prints the highlighted message.
     
  • Options: The options screen provides the following functionality.  Inbox settings are dependent upon user rights, not all users will have the same options.
