Set User Proxy Settings

Overview
Proxy settings are used to provide access to another Accelerator Users data.  For example, if user Stuart Clements is set "Proxy To" Accelerator User "Anthony Hebert", Stuart Clements will have access to the following:
 

  1. Anthony Hebert's 'My Phone Book' folder - (see figure - 1)
  2. Anthony Hebert's 'My Other Folders' (Will only display if the folder contains data) - (see figure - 1)
  3. Anthony Hebert's 'My Events Folders' (Will only display if the folder contains data) - (see figure - 1)
  4. Any of Anthony Hebert's contacts set to 'Owner and Proxy Only' - (see figure - 4)
  5. Anthony Hebert's "Actions" for a Highlighted Contact - (see figure - 1)
  6. Anthony Hebert's Calendar (Available Via Drop Down List) - (see figure - 2)
  7. Anthony Hebert's Folders and Lists - (see figure - 1)
  8. Any of Anthony Hebert's Categories set to 'Owner and Proxy Only' - (see figure - 3)
  9. Anthony Hebert's Data Sheets - (see figure - 1)
  10. Anthony Herbert's contact data (denoted by a tab in the edit screen, or drop down list if proxy to more than one individual) - (see figure - 10)


Personal notes data can only be viewed by it's owner/creator regardless of proxy and/or contact owner settings

How To

  1. Open the Accelerator phone book application by selecting  Start|Programs|Accelerator|Accelerator Phone Book, or by clicking on the |Go to the Accelerator Phone Book| button on the CIT tool bar. 
     
  2. From within the Accelerator Phone Book application, click |File|Administrator|Add/Remove users.  You will be prompted to login to the Accelerator Administration Utility, use the same login information you use to login to the Accelerator phone book to login to this utility.


    The File|Aministrator| option is only available if your specific Accelerator login has been granted administrative rights.


     
  3. From the |User Logins| Tab, highlight the user profile you would like to edit and click the |Edit Highlighted User| button.


     
  4. Use the 'User Properties' dialogue box to modify an existing users Proxy setting by clicking the |Edit| button located under the Proxy To| section (shown below)
