Document Links

The |Doc Links| tab is used to link files to a particular contact. 

  1. To link a file to a contact, search for and edit a contact.  From the Contact Edit Screen click the |Doc Links| tab and then the |Create New| button.  Use the browse screen to locate the document you would like to attach to the contact and click the |Open| button. 


     
  2. Name the file appropriately and click the |OK| button.


     
  3.  The link file description will appear in the document links section.



  4. You can view and open document links from within the contact edit screen or via the personal dashboard links tab.




Note: Linking a file to a contact creates a path association to the file and therefore the file is not copied to the Office Accelerator database.  If you move the linked file from it's original linked location, you will need to update that link within the linked contact.
